shining –
another
day
always
so much
blue
the shadow
of a tree – left
on the road
a patch of light –
making its way
across a wall
black river –
bats at sunset
quickly
forgotten – night’s
expanse
only sleep
closes ears
to hearing
my breath –
my breath
so briefly
two eyes
look at the world
together
the stars
travel past us
as we sleep
silently
they circle us –
the stars
prayer robe
at dawn – the firmament
encloses
the light
is gentle
when it comes
how real
the shadows look
today
a lamp by
my table – galaxies
outside
plenty to eat
on the path
another
perfect cloud
sky –
so still
moon
becoming
sky
rare –
to enter daylight
unchanged
I awake –
the sound
of rain
autumn rain –
yet the road
is shining
you return
and touch my hand –
sun
how quickly
my lungs
fill with air
the day
is attentive
to me
I do not
know my ancestors –
nor they me
light enters
where the
wind cannot
each
have to wait
to be born
perhaps
we should be
more friendly
something
sings –
inside
there is plenty
of room for a new
human being
it takes time
to see
words are about
something else
it is
isn’t it
we each have
a little
world
sky curves
into infinity
stars
silently
watching
clouds pass
by us –
thoughtless
suddenly
you are
not there
today –
never as
pictured
incomparably –
light is
last time
I looked – the world
was there
immeasurable –
what began
at birth
a circle
of sky –
alight
each
has
identity
infinity
is made of
many ones
the sun
so tiny far
from home
the light sinks
into the earth
white moon
among
the clouds
two birds
on a wire – watching
the sunset
days end –
the moon begins
to brighten
earth – eternally
nomadic –
the moon
from dust
to dust – the sky
between
God
has never been
alone
morning –
rooms fill
with the risen
the sun travels
a well worn path
day is
infinitely longer –
than now
earthlings –
much
in common
a bird
swoops – and drops
a shadow
clouds
rarely
land
the future
looks out on us –
one day
above us
and below –
the stars
